Dystopian fiction is booming. What makes it so appealing? In association with Waterstones Piccadilly and the Post-Apocalyptic Book Club, Dark Societies returns to figure out the importance of collapse.
With:
Tom Hunter, Director of the Clarke Award (who will do his damnedest to turn this into a discussion about awards – “Burn him! burn him!”)
Robert Grant, literary editor of Sci-Fi London
Anne C Perry, co-founder of The Kitschies.
Adam Roberts, author of (among much else) Jack Glass
Frances Hardinge, author of Fly By Night.
The event takes place at Waterstones Piccadilly on Thursday 2 May at 7pm. Tickets cost £5/£3 for Waterstones Card Holders and Post-Apocalyptic Book Club Members.
